Capital International, Inc

Most bespoke joinery projects have their complexities, but the phased refurbishment of the Ground, 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of Capital International’s offices in Grosvenor Place within a six month period has been an interesting challenge, and this has now been delivered successfully.

Working for Overbury as Main Contractor, Furniture Contracts have supplied a substantial quantity of bespoke joinery and decorative maple wall panelling. The main reception desk features Napoleon Emporado stonework from Italy, with sumptuous American Luxe Calf leather trim.

Bookcases and credenza units were incorporated within the perimeter system of the work spaces and trading areas. This featured delicately patterned maple timber, stretched fabric panelling and back painted glass.

Furniture Contracts also supplied all the bespoke furniture for the break out areas, touch down points and dining areas.

Satisfying the clients need to conduct the works within occupation of the building, it was necessary to complete the installation of all joinery ‘out of hours’ with additional restriction on noise levels. This presents logistical and operational challenges for the site craftsmen to perform within, as the site has to be handed back to the client each day.

Interior Design on this project was undertaken by Gensler.
